Lindsey Lodge solar installation is complete
NLCE are pleased to be able to announce that we have finished another Solar PV installation at Lindsey Lodge Hospice, Scunthorpe.
This is a 60 kWp system, with East, West and South facing solar panels. Having panels facing in different direct is helpful: it does generate slightly less power than a pure south facing system, but it means the peak generation is spread throughout the day and therefore gets both morning and evening power. This increases how much electricity is used onsite rather than exported.
The installation is expected to generate over 45,000 kWh per year, about 15 houses worth of average domestic electricity consumption. It's estimated annual generation will save 16 tonnes of CO2e per year compared to a gas power station, as well as saving the hospice much needed costs from their electricity bill!
