North Lincolnshire Community Energy awarded grant towards next share offer
The Chair of North Lincolnshire Community Energy, Mike Smyth MBE, says he is delighted that Northern Powergrid has decided to give NLCE a grant of £10,000. This will be put towards the costs of the forthcoming share offer. “It’s great to have this support and we are very grateful to Northern Powergrid”.
Northern Powergrid is a Distribution Network Operator, or DNO for short. It manages the electricity network that powers everyday life for more than 8 million people across 3.9 million homes and businesses in the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire. DNO’s like Northern Powergrid are critical to
managing the transition to clean, green energy. It recognises that supporting the growth of community energy groups like NLCE helps to ensure this transition is as fair as possible and that everybody is included.
