NLCE funding secured to deliver more in 2025!

As mentioned in our newsletter (Jan-May), NLCE are excited to announce we have been successful in securing two sets of funding recently to continue the work we have been doing locally within North Lincolnshire in our role promoting community energy.

Firstly, NLCE secured Energy Redress Just Transition funding, which is allowing us to continue the employment of our part-time Communication and Engagement Coordinator Ruby to build and maintain key local relationships with local host sites, new sites, members and the general public.

Secondly, NLCE were awarded the Younity Powering Communities Grant, to deliver local sustainable workshops and engagements to the general public – this is really fundamental to covering the cost of our in-person and online engagements about community energy. It has also been useful to build addition partnerships within North Lincolnshire and working relationships with other groups and venues.

We are delighted with the news and grateful to both organisations. This means you will continue to see events and news from us throughout 2025: all the events that NLCE organises are posted on our Eventbrite page, and we regularly post on our social media channels too. Events aren't just for members of our energy society - if you are interested in community energy and want to learn more please have a look.
